The Isle Girl Collection

Meet the maker
Hello and welcome! I'm Sophie the one woman show behind Isle Girl Jewellery. As a stay at home mum to three boys I don't get to do much girly stuff! It's all gaming, pokemon and dinosaurs in my house! However now that my children are getting older I finally have the time to pursue my own passions. I have always loved creating and over the years I have learned the skills I needed to create beautiful jewellery and I look forward to continuing to learn along the way. I love making one off pieces, I love knowing that each piece is truly unique to the person it ends up with. I am very lucky to have lovely garden where I grow and press my own flowers to use in some of my jewellery. Being a isle girl means im lucky enough to live surrounded beautiful beaches where i collect all the sea glass that i use in my jewellery ( I also get help from my husband and boys). I love to work with different mediums but my favourite is resin, to be able to encapsulate flowers forever is a truly wonderful thing and I'm always looking to expand my skills. So please browse my shop and see if you can find your own piece of happiness.

What is sea glass and why is it so special?
Sea glass is naturally weathered glass found on beaches along saltwater bodies. It originates from discarded glass products like bottles and jars, which have been tumbled and smoothed by the ocean's waves and sand over many years. This process creates smooth, frosted pieces that are often collected for their beauty and unique appearance.
Why is sea glass so special?
Unlike common gemstones, sea glass is rare by nature, as much of it originates from old glassware that has undergone decades or centuries of natural refinement. As a result, genuine sea glass holds more value than its original bottles or glass pieces.
Sea glass rarity by color:
Common: White, green, and brown.
Less Common: Seafoam green, olive green, forest green, dark brown.
Rare: Light aqua blue, soft blue, amber.
Very Rare: Dark aqua blue, cobalt blue, cornflower blue, turquoise, teal, lime.
Extremely Rare: Amethyst (purple), yellow, gray, pink.
Rarest of All: Red, orange.
What are the benefits of wearing sea glass?
Many people feel that sea glass can absorb negative energy and replace it with a sense of peace and tranquility. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained, holding a piece of sea glass or wearing it as jewelry can help ground you and restore your emotional balance.
All my sea glass is 100% genuine and only comes from the Isle Of Wight.
